65% DA is it Correct ?

The Government has approved 65 % DA, is the price raise and DA corresponding to each other, should we get more DA this questions are being asked.

a) All India Consumer Price Index numbers. AICPIN has been published by Labour Bureau in every month , and an attached office of the Ministry of Labour & Employment... for the base year 2001=100 for Jan 06 the base index is 119 points and the whole sale prices have risen to 197 points as on 1/1/2012, hence difference is 78 points (http://labourbureau.nic.in/indnum.html)

b) According to Associated Chambers of Commerce of India (Assocham) the prices of essential commodities have risen by 85 % from 1.1.2006 to 1.1.2012, Hence DA should have been 85%.

c) Above According to Office of the Economic advisor to Government of India, Ministry of Commerce vide their web site (http://eaindustry.nic.in/wpi_data_display/display_data.asp ) Hence the Government in its own web site has admitted that whole sale prices of essential commodities have increased by over 70%. for 4 years. The prices of essential commodity are as follows

The due DA should have been over 85%. instead of just 65% announced.

DA as on 1.1.2012

The Union Cabinet gave its approval to release an additional instalment of Dearness Allowance (DA) to central government employees and Dearness Relief (DR) to pensioners w.e.f. 1.1.2012 representing an increase of 7% over the existing rate of 58% of the Basic Pay/Pension, to compensate for price rise.

RESOLUTION

It is announced for general information that during the year 2011-2012, accumulations at the credit of subscribers to the General Provident Fund and other similar funds shall carry interest at the rate of 8% (Eight per cent) for the period from 1.4.2011 to 30.11.2011 and 8.6% (eight point six percent) with effect from 1.12.2011.

The funds concerned are:—


1. The General Provident Fund (Central Services).
2. The Contributory Provident Fund (India).
3. The All India Services Provident Fund.
4. The State Railway Provident Fund.
5. The General Provident Fund (Defence Services).
6. The Indian Ordnance Department Provident Fund.
7. The Indian Ordnance Factories Workmen’s Provident Fund.
8. The Indian Naval Dockyard Workmen’s Provident Fund.
9. The Defence Services Officers Provident Fund.
10. The Armed Forces Personnel Provident Fund.

2. Ordered that the Resolution be published in Gazette of India.

Stitching charges rates for canteen staff

Ministry of Personnel, P.G. Pensions, Department of Personnel and Training has directed to all concerned departments of Central Government through the Office Memorandum (No.18/1/2011-Dir.(C) dated 23rd January, 2012) regarding that the Stitching charge of uniform/livery items. Revision of stitching charges for woolen pant to Rs.180 and for woolen salwar to Rs.60, these would be admissible once in two years.

DA from Jan 2012 – Cabinet will decide in the next meeting wich is held on 15.03.2012 …DA from 1.1.2012 may increase 7% form the existing rate is expected , The DA orders is likely to be issued by 30th March 2012

A centralized program of working women s is being organised by CITU and working women s organisations at NGO Hall Cubbon park KR circle Bangalore from 11 am to 5 pm, all affiliates of COC are requested to direct their women s members to participate in the program without fail.
